2025 Milestone: A Landmark Year of Innovation, Royal Recognition, and Environmental Impact

As we return to the office and look ahead to a busy 2026, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been, without a doubt, the most significant year in Green Rhino’s history. From meeting His Majesty The King to hitting a monumental environmental milestone, 2025 was a year where our mission to prevent pollution reached new heights. Here is a look back at the highlights of our year.

The Ultimate Honour: The King’s Award for Enterprise

The standout moment of 2025 was receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. This is the UK’s most prestigious business accolade, recognising companies that truly push boundaries.

    • A Royal Encounter: In June, our Founder and Managing Director, Ross Atkin, attended a reception at Windsor Castle. He had the distinct honour of meeting His Majesty The King, using the opportunity to share Green Rhino’s passion for protecting the environment and our mission to stop pollution at the source.
    • The Formal Presentation: Back at our Suffolk headquarters, we were proud to welcome Clare, Countess of Euston, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk, for the official presentation of the award.

Being featured on the front cover of the East Anglian Daily Times capped off the celebrations, shining a light on the dedication of our team who design and build every product right here in Britain.

Innovation in Action: Over 1.338 Million Litres Saved

Our core mission is to stop pollution at the source, and this year the numbers spoke for themselves. We are incredibly proud to announce that the EnviroPad has now saved over 1,338,000 litres of oil and fuel from polluting the environment.
To keep that momentum going, we expanded our range with four product launches:

    1. DripLock Hose Cap: Effective leak management.
    2. DropFit Gully Filter: Hassle-free installation filtration device.
    3. EnviroPad Rail: Specialised spill protection for the rail sector.
    4. DrainEezy Bund Filter (Large Mineral Oil Edition): Advanced filtration for mineral oils.

Our commitment to innovation was also showcased on the world stage, as we attended 8 trade shows across the globe, including major events in the UK, USA, and Sweden.

    On-Site Impact & Education

Sustainability isn’t just about products; it’s about people. This year, Adam Leyton, our National Account Manager, headed to the front lines of infrastructure to deliver Environmental Toolbox Talks.

    • HS2 (High Speed Two): At the Long Itchington site, we demonstrated how our smart polymer technology allows work to continue safely by locking in hydrocarbons while letting clean water drain through.
    • BAM UK & Ireland: We visited the River Roding project to present practical environmental solutions to the team on the ground.
    • Global Industry Outreach: Throughout the year, we’ve engaged with several other key partners internationally, ensuring that “best practice” is standard practice on-site.

    Growing the Green Rhino Family

Our success is driven by our people. This year, we welcomed four talented new members to the family:

    • Isabelle Nourry – Sales Director
    • Ai Pheng Yeap – Marketing Manager
    • Jake Folkard – Graduate Innovation Engineer
    • Ross Wintrup – Assistant Accountant

We also launched our comprehensive New Enviro Range Catalogue in September, providing our customers with the ultimate guide to site pollution control. You can download the catalogue here.

Walking the Walk: Sustainability & Charity

Green Rhino team completed the Tough Mudder challenge to raise money for charity.

The Green Rhino team isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty for a good cause:

    • Tough Mudder: Our team braved freezing mud and obstacles to raise money for The Lighthouse Charity. This vital charity supports construction workers and their families, providing mental health helplines and financial aid.
    • St. Elizabeth’s Hospice: Our annual Christmas Jumper Day and the “Head or Tails” game raised much-needed funds for our local hospice .
    • Maggie’s Cancer Support: We were proud to sponsor one of our partners on a gruelling 200-mile cycle from Edinburgh to Newcastle. This incredible effort raised vital funds for Maggie’s, a charity providing essential professional support to people with cancer and their loved ones.

    Looking Ahead to 2026

2025 has set a high bar, but we are just getting started. Thank you to our customers, partners, and our incredible team for making last year a success. Let’s make 2026 even greener.
