Managing rainwater in oil-filled transformer bunds has traditionally been a costly and high-maintenance task, often involving expensive oil-water separators or frequent vacuum tanker visits.
The DrainEezy® range offers a cost-effective and passive solution. Designed for LV, MV, and HV oil-filled transformers (11kV to 66kV), these filters allow clean rainwater to drain freely while instantly capturing and solidifying hydrocarbon contaminants. Crucially for infrastructure projects, the DrainEezy® range is UK DNO and OEM approved, ensuring it meets the rigorous standards required for the national grid.
The Power of Smart Polymer Technology
At the heart of the DrainEezy® system is our Smart Polymer Technology. Unlike standard filters, these polymers react immediately on contact with oil, transforming it into a solid, rubber-like mass that is permanently locked inside the filter.
- Failsafe Protection: In the event of a catastrophic transformer failure causing oil leaks, the filter’s intelligent system is designed for total containment. When the filter reaches its capacity, the solidified pollutants automatically block the cartridge, ensuring no contaminants can escape into the environment.
- Superior Compliance: DrainEezy® removes oil (TPH) to <1mg/L, comfortably exceeding the UK’s 5mg/L regulatory limit.
