EnviroPad® Connect

Modular interlocking spill protection for scalable coverage

EnviroPad Connect delivers flexible, large-area oil and hydrocarbon containment for construction sites, rail EnviroPad Connect is engineered to grow with the challenge. Whether you’re protecting a compact work area or covering an extensive industrial site, individual pads link together via a hook-and-loop interlocking system to form a single, continuous protective surface, with no gap, and no exposed ground.
Delivering flexible, large-area oil and hydrocarbon containment wherever spills or leaks are a risk, EnviroPad Connect is available in two scalable sizes that can be mixed and matched to suit the size and shape of any site, making it the adaptable solution for construction, rail, and other demanding industrial environments.

Key Features:

  • A modular hook-and-loop interlocking system on all four sides allows pads to be connected quickly into a continuous, gap-free coverage area at any scale, suited to construction, rail, and other industrial sites.
  • Patented Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology permanently converts hydrocarbons into a non-leaching solid
  • Low-maintenance solution; continuous protection with no active intervention required
  • Built on the award-winning EnviroPad technology, honoured with the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and the Construction News Award for Product Innovation
  • Safer and cleaner for maintenance teams and the environment. Unlike standard absorbent pads, EnviroPad doesn’t leak during handling and disposal, making it cleaner to handle and safer to dispose of
  • Compatible with HVO and other bio alternatives
  • Hydrophobic and jet-washable construction
  • Each pad can be easily replaced when at full capacity
  • UV-resistant
  • Offered in two scalable formats:
    • CS6: 500 × 500 mm, 6L hydrocarbon capacity
    • CM25: 1000 × 1000 mm, 25L hydrocarbon capacity

Up and Running in Minutes

Installing EnviroPad Connect is straightforward. Simply lay each pad flat across the area to be protected, following the instructions printed on the reverse, then position neighbouring pads so the hook edges overlap the loop edges of the adjacent pad. That’s all it takes to achieve a continuous, gap-free surface that’s ready to work from the moment it’s laid. No tools, no specialist training, no fuss.

Built on Award-Winning Technology

EnviroPad Connect shares its foundation with Green Rhino’s multi-award-winning EnviroPad, recognised by the King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and the Construction News Award, and harnesses the same patented Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology.

While standard absorbents only soak up what’s spilled, Neutroilize™ takes it further by actively transforming oils, fuels and hydraulic fluids into a stable, non-leaching solid. This locks hydrocarbons permanently within the pad, guarding against secondary contamination of soil and water, even if the mat is disturbed or rained on.

Engineered for fast, efficient absorption across a broad range of hydrocarbons, EnviroPad Connect performs reliably on construction sites, rail environments, and other demanding industrial settings.

FAQs

What is EnviroPad Connect used for?

EnviroPad Connect is a hydrocarbon-absorbing spill containment mat designed for construction sites, rail environments, and other industrial applications where oil, fuel or hydraulic fluid leaks may occur. Using patented Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology, it converts these hydrocarbons into a non-leaching solid, preventing environmental contamination. Thanks to its interlocking hook-and-loop design, multiple pads can be joined together, making it well suited to sites that require large-area, continuous coverage. It’s available in two sizes: 500 × 500 mm (6L capacity) and 1000 × 1000 mm (25L capacity).

How does Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology work?

Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology is a patented material at the heart of Green Rhino’s EnviroPad range. Instead of merely soaking up liquid hydrocarbons, it transforms oils, fuels and hydraulic fluids into a stable, non-leaching solid. Once absorbed, the hydrocarbon can’t leach back out, so the risk of secondary contamination to soil or groundwater is eliminated, even if the pad is disturbed or exposed to rainfall.

How do you install EnviroPad Connect?

Lay the mats flat across the area to be protected, following the instructions printed on the reverse of each pad. Position neighbouring mats so the hook edges overlap the loop edges of the adjacent pad, forming a continuous, gap-free surface. Pads of either available size (500 × 500 mm or 1000 × 1000 mm) can be combined to suit any footprint, whatever the scale of the site.
