The DrainEezy Connect Matting provides flexible and large-area oil containment at ageing transformer sites. Built on the multi-award-winning EnviroPad, the interlocking pads can be used to create an oil-absorbent matting where leaks occur. Its patented Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology converts mineral and ester transformer oils into a non-leaching solid, trapping contamination inside the pads permanently. With an interlocking hook-and-loop system and two scalable size options, the DrainEezy Connect Matting can be scaled to each application, creating seamless protection across surfaces.

How does Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology work?

Green Rhino’s Neutroilize™ Smart Fabric Technology is a proprietary and patented material embedded within the EnviroPad product range. Rather than simply absorbing liquid hydrocarbons, it chemically converts oils, fuels and hydraulic fluids into a stable, non-leaching solid state. This means that once a hydrocarbon is absorbed, it cannot leach back out, eliminating the risk of secondary contamination to soil or groundwater even if the pad is disturbed or exposed to rainfall.

How do you install the DrainEezy Connect Matting?

Lay the mats flat on the ground around the transformer base, following the instructions printed on the reverse of each pad. Position adjacent mats so the hook edges overlap the loop edges of neighbouring mats, securing a continuous and gap-free surface. Multiple pads in either available size (500 × 500 mm or 1000 × 1000 mm) can be joined to cover any footprint size.
